By using EffMeetings, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
EffMeetings is a business-to-business service. By using EffMeetings, you represent and warrant that you are acting in a business capacity and not as a consumer. The service is designed for use by professionals and organisations to improve meeting efficiency.
EffMeetings provides tools to help you prepare for, run, and follow up on meetings, including a Meeting Cost Calculator, Live Meeting Timer, AI Brief Generator, Decision Record, and Meeting Threads. Some tools are free and require no account. Some tools require a free account or a paid subscription.
Accounts are created using your work email address and authenticated via magic link. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Paid subscriptions (Starter, Pro) are billed monthly in GBP via Stripe. All prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page or via the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to your paid plan until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free tier.
No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel, you retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Free accounts are limited to 5 AI Briefs and 5 Decision Records per calendar month. Starter accounts are limited to 20 of each. Pro accounts have unlimited access. Usage resets on the 1st of each calendar month. The Meeting Cost Calculator and Live Meeting Timer are free and unlimited for all users. Meeting Threads are available to all account holders; free users can view their last 3 entries per thread, while Starter and Pro users have access to full thread history.
The AI Brief Generator uses third-party artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate meeting briefs based on your input. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point only. It may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or suggestions that are not appropriate for your specific circumstances. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing any AI-generated content before use. EffMeetings does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, suitability, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content. AI-generated content does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or strategic advice.
You retain ownership of all content you input into EffMeetings, including meeting objectives, attendee information, decisions, action items, and thread names. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content as necessary to provide the service (for example, sending your input to the AI API to generate a brief, or storing your content for the Meeting Threads and saved history features). We will not sell, share, or use your content for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
Saved history (briefs and decision records) and Meeting Thread entries are retained for 12 months from creation and then automatically deleted. Account data is retained until you delete your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Account page.
You agree not to use EffMeetings to generate content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others. You agree not to attempt to access other users' data, circumvent security measures, or use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this policy.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EffMeetings, its operators, and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
EffMeetings is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EffMeetings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred pounds sterling (£100) or (b) the total fees paid by you to EffMeetings in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
